Evidence-Based Counseling for Emotional & Nervous System Regulation
Compassionate Care. Meaningful Change.
Life can sometimes leave you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or simply disconnected from the person you once were—or the person you want to become. You may understand what you should do differently, yet still find yourself caught in the same thoughts, emotions, reactions, or patterns. Counseling can provide a supportive space to begin understanding not only what you are experiencing, but why your mind and body may be responding the way they are.
My approach to counseling is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I place a strong emphasis on understanding the connection between the mind, body, emotions, and how the nervous system responds. When we begin recognizing our internal responses—rather than simply reacting to them—we can develop practical skills to regulate emotions, manage stress, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and respond to life's difficulties with greater awareness and intention.
I believe meaningful change happens when you feel heard, understood, and supported while also gaining tools you can use beyond the counseling room. Our work together may include developing healthier coping strategies, strengthening emotional regulation, exploring patterns that may be keeping you stuck, building resilience, and discovering greater meaning and purpose in your life.
Whether you are navigating anxiety, chronic pain, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, or simply feeling that something in your life needs to change, counseling does not have to be about what is “wrong”; it can be about understanding yourself more deeply and learning new ways to move through life's challenges.
You don't have to have everything figured out before beginning counseling. Sometimes the first step is simply having a safe place to start.
Together, we can work toward greater regulation, clarity, resilience, and meaningful change—helping you move from simply reacting to life toward responding to it with greater awareness, choice, and purpose.
